IRLP/EchoIRLP Scripts
One of the nice things about running IRLP is that you have the ability to enhance the functionality of your node by adding scripts. If you can dream it, you can write it. The scripts below are ones that I have written to add functionality to my node, please feel free to browse through them and grab the ones you like.

Please note that these scripts are as-is and I provide no warranty for their operation. I will be more than happy to assist you if needed (and ask nicely!). Feel free to email me and we'll go from there.

Packages from this site are in RPM format. Having them in this format will allow for easy installation and upgrades of the scripts from this website.

Downloaded a script and need help? Need a script written for your node? Send me an email at nessenj@jimsoffice.org and I will see what I can do for you!

txfan-0.0.3-1.i386.rpmUses one of the aux ports on the IRLP v3 board to control an attached fan. Configurable timers allow you to control how long your radio transmits before the fan is activated and how long the fan stays on after the radio is done transmitting.

To install from your node, as root type:

rpm -ivh http://www.k6jwn.org/downloads/txfan-0.0.3-1.i386.rpm

idleConnect-0.0.1-1.i386.rpmThis script will automatically connect your node to another node or a reflector when it's idle for a period of time.

To install from your node, as root type:

rpm -ivh http://www.k6jwn.org/downloads/idleConnect-0.0.1-1.i386.rpm

k6jwn-rnc.pptThis powerpoint presentation was presented at the 2007 IRLP Conference in Las Vegas. This discusses using a set of perl/bash scripts to remotely control any node using DTMF. Practical uses are for multi-site repeater systems where DTMF control of them all is not possible, or several internet linked repeater where you want to be able to DTMF control all of them from anywhere.
logparseThis script (written in PERL) parses the the current (or any rotated) log file for connect/disconnect messages, and prints a out a report showing you the number of connects and disconnects for IRLP and/or EchoIRLP.
